What is TheSalesFactory (TSF)?
TSF can best be described as an electronic new business switch with a couple of value added services.
TSF facilitates the new business fulfilment process between an entity selling a product (sales channel) and an entity providing and or administrating a product (product house).
The niche for such a product was created by the tendency of product providers to shy away from the resource intensive task of providing an electronic “Front end” for selling their products to external sales channels. This has been especially prevalent in the financial services industry, particularly in the ELM or mass market sector where high volume low cost business is the norm.
Such high volumes necessitates a “paperless” environment and many product houses are achieving this by defining some sort of electronic B2B interface that allows sales channels to submit sales and receive feedback on the status of such sales.
The norm was then for sales channels to develop their own front ends on top of these B2B interfaces at great cost and the product house IT were left having to go through test and business analysis cycles with each new sales channel. The obvious solution is a single generic new business switch….
